The type of personal information we collect
We currently collect and process the following information:
- Personal names, addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers.
- Date of Birth
- Land Registry property ownership information
- Leases, purchase contracts, purchase correspondence
- Correspondence with solicitors
- Correspondence with sales agents
How we get the personal information and why we have it
Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:
- To enable us to write to you,
- To enable us to assess whether or not you have acquired a property within an unregulated collective investment scheme,
- To enable us to assess whether or not you have a Professional Negligence claim relating to a property purchase,
- To ensure that we meet all the criteria of the SRA Regulated Law Firms we work with and so that they will accept your file from us.
We use the information that you have given us in order to make the assessments mentioned above.
We may share this information with the solicitors appointed to handle your Professional Negligence claim.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

How we store your personal information
Your information is securely stored.
We keep your personal information for up to six years. We will then dispose your information by deleting all digital files we hold relating to you.
